Position: Senior Commercial Manager/Commercial Director
Location: Brighton with hybrid working
Salary: £100k+ neg (DOE), bonus, car/allowance and excellent benefits package
Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting eight long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances.
The Role: Our Client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Commercial Manager/Commercial Director based at the Southern Water Region. The purpose of this role is to lead the frameworks next AMP cycle. Managing a £(Apply online only) million per year region, you will provide commercial support and leadership to projects/contracts and ensure that commercial discipline is maintained throughout the framework duration.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company objectives.
2. Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring that contracts are in the best interests of our client.
3. Risk Management: Identify commercial risks and proactively mitigate them.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
5. Change Management: Identify contract changes and proactively mitigate them.
6. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, ensure cost efficiency, and drive profitability.
7. Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and supervise the commercial team to achieve departmental goals.
Experience:
1. Proven experience in a commercial management role, preferably within the water sector.
2. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
3. Proficient in contract management and risk assessment.
4. Experience in a similar role with senior management responsibilities.
5. Able to demonstrate strong leadership capability.
6. Demonstrable client facing joint venture experience.
7. Drive to establish and embed positive delivery within the Joint Venture organisation.
