Description
Working in our central office services team, the 'Business Support Assistant' is an administrative type role. The role will require you to complete a wide range of tasks in a busy digital post room and business support department. The role's ultimate goal is to ensure all incoming post is processed and scanned and all outgoing post is completed accurately and in the most cost-effective and secure way.
This role is part-time offering 20 hours per week and will require attendance at our Horwich, Bolton office.
Key Responsibilities
* Receiving and sorting incoming mail, identifying items that need to remain sealed, and opening all other mail.
* Sorting incoming mail, date stamping accordingly, and pigeonholing ready for distribution.
* Searching our database in order to identify the intended recipient of untraced post, and if not traced, contacting the sender to obtain further information.
* Preparing all incoming post for scanning using correct forms identifying items such as Cheques and Digital Media.
* Scanning of all incoming post to the relevant teams in accordance with service level agreements.
* Collecting mail from post cabinets across all offices and posting in a cost-effective and secure way.
* Working with your Team Leader on your own development in monthly 1-2-1 meetings.
* Working towards and ensuring successful completion of objectives.
* Where necessary, you may be required to assist other functions within the Business Support Unit, with any of the following tasks:
1. Central Administration, scanning, printing, and uploading/copying digital media.
2. Locating and closing of files on case management system, boxing up files, and sending to archive.
3. Using settlement reports and liaising with teams in the Business to progress files through to closure.
