Quantity Surveyor
- The Role: A fantastic opportunity for an experiencedQuantity Surveyor to join a sought after Developer to run varied and interesting refurbishment contracts as part of a successful commercial team.
You will be responsible for leading the day to day commercial aspects of refurbishment of projects and will have good knowledge of contracts.
This position will report to the Development Director and offers an enjoyable and energetic place to work with excellent opportunity to progress.
Typical duties & responsibilities: Development Arm (Commercial Developer Duties)
- Manage funding applications, liaising with banks, lenders, and financial institutions.
- Oversee development appraisals, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Lead cost planning and budget forecasting for developments.
- Handle contract negotiations with funders, stakeholders, and professional teams.
- Monitor cash flow, financial reporting, and key performance metrics.
Construction Arm (Main Contractor Quantity Surveying Duties)
- Prepare and manage bills of quantities, procurement, and tender processes.
- Assess subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring best value and risk mitigation.
- Oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Work closely with site teams to manage cost control, forecasting, and project budgets.
- Conduct commercial reporting and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Quantity Surveyor
- The Person You will have at least 5 years experience with either a national or regional construction main contractor Demonstrable experience of working on refurbishment projects Keen to progress a long term career as QS and beyond Innovative
