Collections & House Manager - Tiverton Summary INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY We’re looking for a Collections and House Manager to join our team at Knightshayes. You will play a key role in the Knightshayes portfolio leadership team at a time when this busy property is preparing for a period of significant development. What it's like to work here Over the past four years, the visitor experience at this grand gothic revival house has been transformed by introducing a year-round programme of events, activities and entertainment. The ambitious 40-member team has further plans to grow and develop Knightshayes’ visitor offer and welcome creative customer-focused people to join the team. The property has one of the finest gardens in Devon with a vast plant collection and walled garden which supplies produce to the estate’s Stables Caf. For more information about our property please visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/knightshayes-court What you'll be doing You will provide leadership in collections management across the portfolio, delivering high standards of presentation and care. You will be responsible for all elements of the daily opening of the house, leading a team of dedicated conservation staff and volunteer room guides. Working collaboratively with our Visitor Operations Team you will helping to shape and deliver curation and visitor experience in the house. Who we're looking for As someone with significant experience of conservation and collections care you’ll be able to demonstrate that you have: An understanding and experience of working to care for historic collections and properties. Team leadership skills, and the ability to balance operational needs with effective coaching and mentoring. Experience of working with volunteers to help deliver outcomes. The ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders (including contactors and consultancy) to deliver our business plan. Experience in the management of relevant compliance, health and safety and emergency procedures. Good organisational skills including great time management and resilience to working under pressure and during periods of change.
