The Role
They’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with sole charge and handling all routine medical and surgical cases that a general practice could present. This position offers fully flexible hours, whether full or part-time, with no out-of-hours or late nights. Ideally, you’ll work some Saturday mornings on a fair rota basis, shared with the rest of the team, but open to suggestions to suit your lifestyle.
As part of the leading provider in small animal veterinary care, we offer excellent career development opportunities, a first-rate package, and great benefits, including:
1. Competitive Salary: Up to £70,000
2. Generous Annual Leave: 28 days including bank holidays
3. Funded CPD and Study Support: Encouragement and time off to study for certificates
4. Contributory Pension Scheme
5. Paid Professional Memberships: RCVS, VDS, BVA
Ideal Candidate
You should have some experience working in a general practice setting and be comfortable handling sole charge routine appointments, especially on weekends. While mentorship and development opportunities are readily available, confident vets with a bit of experience will find themselves quickly settling in and making an impact. An interest in orthopedics is desirable, but not essential, as they handle a broad range of cases in-house to ensure continuity of care for clients.
Work-Life Balance
Also understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why they offer a full-time position with a 4-day workweek (40 hours), giving you a weekday off to enjoy as you please. Weekends are worked on a fair rota basis, allowing you time to recharge and explore all that West Yorkshire has to offer.
