Role purpose:
We are looking for a reliable Accounts Assistant to report to our Management Accountants. The responsibilities of this role will include various bookkeeping and administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the finance team has adequate support to work efficiently. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritising and working with little supervision, due to the fast-paced nature of the role. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy.
Key Accountabilities:
The Accounts Assistant responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
* Processing purchase ledger invoices into Sage200
* Processing weekly payment run in various currencies
* Authorisation and Allocation of purchase ledger invoices
* Monthly preparation and posting of accruals and fixed assets
* Maintaining the purchase order database
* Monthly review of the aged creditors
* Processing of the daily sales
* Processing customer refunds for various payment methods
* Raise bank payments when necessary
* Administrative duties to include filing and queries received via email and telephone
* Adhoc tasks when required
Skills / Experience:
Essential:
* Experience of working in a similar role within a large enterprise
* Good IT Skills to include Excel
* Good standard of verbal and written communication skills
* Proven ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
* Organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Have an interest in working in finance
Desirable:
* Sage200 experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to £23,000.00 per year
