Scope of Role
Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer, Morrison’s, and Waitrose in the UK.
The Assurance Technician will report directly to the Quality Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring all products meet Customer and Company standards for conformance and food safety standards.
To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety, and Integrity.

Key Responsibilities
* Daily QA Walks
* Daily temperature checks
* Equipment calibration (temperature probes, pH probes, etc.)
* QA Retained Sample Daily Report
* QA daily out of date stock check
* Responsible for placing any non-conforming product on Hold
* Daily CCP Verifications
* Attend Taste Panel
* GMP Audits
* Hygiene & Fabrication Audit
* Glass & Hard Plastic Audits
* Attend Daily QA Meeting
* Attend Production Lean Board meetings
* Seal Integrity Checks
* Weekly QA Tasks (excluding Cooking/Cooking Verifications)
* Adheres to Company general policies, i.e., Food Safety, Health Safety, Absence, etc.
* Flexible in regard to working hours (early starts, late nights, etc.)
* Any other reasonable tasks related to the position as deemed suitable by QA Supervisor
* To adhere to company policies and procedures as trained, in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety, and Integrity.
Person Specification
Essential
* 1 year’s experience within Food Manufacturing
* Level 2 Food Safety
* Knowledge of Food Safety principles/GMP
* Level 2 HACCP
* Working knowledge of Microsoft package
Desirable
* Internal Auditor Training
