The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is seeking to appoint an experienced, professional and self-motivated technician with a positive approach, to support the delivery of education and student activity.
The focus of the role is to provide professional technical support to education and student activities in the School, with a focus on preparation of equipment/specimens for laboratory and field work teaching and learning. The work may also involve occasionally attending fieldwork.
Working alongside other teaching and research technicians and as part of a wider team of professional services colleagues, the successful candidate will be a flexible team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to adapt to a broad range of duties and challenges in an exciting and rewarding environment.
This role is primarily campus based. The University is committed to offering flexibility, wherever the role and business need allows, supporting work-life balance. There might be occasions when the post holder might be asked to adjust working hours to accommodate teaching delivery.
The post is full time (35 hours per week), available immediately and is open ended.
Salary: £24,600 - £25,433 per annum (Grade 3)
