Are you a registered Nurse? Looking to make a difference and support young people?
Here at the Highfield Unit, the nursing team are at the heart of the unit and are vital in ensuring that outstanding inpatient care is delivered.
The Highfield Unit Oxford is a state-of-the-art NHS facility providing specialist inpatient services for young people aged 11 to 18 with acute mental health needs. Our team offers a safe and supportive environment while young people are in the most vulnerable stage of their illness, ensuring individualised care for each young person is provided. The work we do makes a real difference.
As a member of the nursing team, you would be supported to work collaboratively with young people and their families in order to build therapeutic relationships along with other professionals involved in their care. Training and supervision is provided to develop individual and group therapeutic work, and we pride ourselves on nurturing and supporting our nurses to deliver professional, thoughtful, high-quality compassionate nursing care when young people need it the most.
We are looking for dedicated nurses with a real commitment and empathy in ensuring that high-level care is delivered to our young people in the most acute and vulnerable stages of their illness.
By offering a caring and safe environment for providing holistic family-centered care, you will be involved in delivering a range of interventions dependent upon clinical need.
We will support you in maintaining and developing your clinical skills to a high standard and provide opportunities to work with a wider team of professionals to provide truly intuitive and creative care that goes beyond just clinical tasks.
We are keen to support all our nurses in developing their own leadership skills to enable them to feel competent at managing shift and team coordination and supervising junior staff as well as students. All nurses at the Highfield Unit are encouraged and have the opportunity to develop and lead upon areas of interest. You will be self-motivated about service improvement and passionate about providing quality and creative care to adolescents.
We have part-time and full-time positions available; please contact us if you have any questions regarding the working pattern as we will be happy to discuss this with you!
At Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, we want to employ people not just with experience but with the aptitude and motivation to succeed and whose values resonate with our own.
