First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a safe working environment by applying a ‘Safety First’ approach to working.
2. Ensure all equipment and areas of the warehouse are clean, tidy and orderly.
3. Daily checks to be completed of all mechanical equipment to ensure they are safe to use.
4. Assist with load and unloading of vehicles, checking against notes to ensure accuracy of receipt or dispatch of goods.
5. Quality – Ensure the inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances to the Warehouse Manager.
6. Raise concerns/issues with Warehouse Manager as soon as they are noted.
7. Booking in of all incoming stock and storing in a safe manner. Ensuring these are put in the correct locations.
8. Order Picking and packing – Pick and prepare products for shipping, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
9. Warehouse security – keeping warehouse secure, reporting any discrepancy in stock to the Warehouse Manager and warehouse never left unattended when shutters are open.
10. Assisting in all warehouse roles, not just one primary role.
11. Flexibility with hours to suit the company requirements.
12. Ad hoc driving of company van for local deliveries and collections.
13. Order creating and processing on our WMS system
Skills and Qualifications:
14. IT/Computer Literate – Desirable
15. 3PL Experience – Essential
16. Reach and Counterbalance experience – Essential
17. Full clean driving license – Essential
18. Physical capable
19. Can convey thoughts, information and proposals clearly.
20. Can provide constructive feedback.
21. Is regarded as a team player.
22. Takes responsibility for developing their own ability.
23. Delivers their tasks and processes with limited oversight from management.
24. Pro-actively identifies improvements to processes and promotes them to the wider team.
25. Is able to manage their time.

Salary: £26,000 Per Annum
