Our client, with a residence in Mayfair, London, is seeking an experienced Senior Butler to help manage the day-to-day requirements of the family.
Duties include, but not limited to:
1. With guidance from the House Manager, develop the training programme for the temporary Butler team
2. Train and lead the temporary Butler team, ensuring that they are fully equipped to deliver an exceptional service
3. In collaboration with the House Manager, organise the rotas for the Butler team, ensuring the rota is aligned with other household departments
4. Liaise with the Head Chef and serve the family and guests in formal and informal settings as required, using the preferred technique
5. Be responsible for the cleanliness, tidiness and organisation of the Butler pantries, ensuring all tasks are completed within a reasonable time frame
6. Care and light maintenance for silverware, serve ware, fine porcelain and crystal, using the correct products and cleaning techniques
7. Ensure the Butler pantry stock levels are full, giving ample lead time for re-ordering, liaising with the House Manager as required
8. Maintain inventories of all service ware items within the property and conduct inventory checks on regular intervals as directed by the Company, ensuring that the Company is notified of any damaged or missing items
9. Assist with wardrobe management, organising garments by colours, season, favourite pieces, etc, packing and unpacking for travel
10. In collaboration with the House Manager, develop and maintain the House Manual, with particular focus on client preferences and delivery of service
11. In collaboration with the House Manager and Head Chef, develop and maintain client preference records, updating regularly to ensure the client and family have their preferences available at any given time
12. Be responsible for purchasing the client and families preferred toiletries, products and supplies, as directed from the House Manager
13. Identify any maintenance and repair issues and immediately report them to the House Manager, including any damage or threatened damage to the properties or any defects in the structure, fabric or services at the properties
14. Be the first point of contact in absence of the House Manager
Candidate requirements:
15. Previous private-house experience is essential
16. UK Passport holder preferred
17. London based
18. Highly skilled in food and drink service
19. Candidates must have strong communication skills
20. Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

Working Hours/Days: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm during non-visit. 6 days per week 10 hours per day during visit
Salary: £55,000-£60,000 DOE
