This is a hybrid role where you will be required to attend the office 1-2 days per week, depending on business needs.
Join our Central Pricing team as a Pricing Manager, helping to optimise customer-specific deals across Royal Mail’s £1.5bn portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Pricing Manager, you’ll play a key role in the Deal Desk, ensuring we maximise value from our retail products.
You will also:
1. Lead & Develop one Pricing Executive - setting goals, motivating performance, and driving development.
2. Manage High-Value Deals, including those worth £10m+, providing clear recommendations for senior-level approval.
3. Optimise Pricing, ensuring Royal Mail’s added value is reflected in every deal.
4. Balance Workloads & Stakeholder Relations, collaborating with Legal, Regulatory, Operations, and Finance teams.
5. Strengthen Sales Partnerships, building strategic customer relationships and identifying opportunities for extra revenue.
6. Generate Market Insights, working with Strategic Pricing teams on segmentation, competitor analysis, and value-building strategies.
About You
1. Excellent mathematical and Excel skills (pivot tables, matching, complex formulae).
2. Analytical mindset with experience in extracting insights from large datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency in numerical analysis.
3. Ability to network effectively and communicate business impact concisely, both verbally and in writing, up to Director level.
4. Ability to navigate complex pricing scenarios and develop sound commercial proposals.
5. Understanding of business finances, including cost contribution and margin analysis.
6. Good knowledge of price implementation systems, processes, and resources is desirable.
