Who?
This post provides a high quality service to customers of the Housing Options team, and clerical and administrative support to the Housing Options team.
What will you be doing?
You will be an essential ‘first point of contact’ into the Housing Options service, administer financial payments relating to the service area, deal with basic housing advice queries and provide administrative support to the Allocations and Lettings team.
You will also lead on ensuring that financial responsibilities regarding creditors, debtors, purchasing and liaising with suppliers are discharged correctly.
What do you need?
The ability to interpret customer needs and provide solutions
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Maths, or have an NVQ Level 2 Administration qualification (or equivalent)
Good written and verbal communication skills and an excellent telephone manner
Experience of using computer systems and dealing with customers in a front line social housing environment
Direct experience of working in a local authority homelessness or allocations team would be an advantage
