As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers to oversee various aspects of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the planning and execution of project tasks, timelines, and budgets.
* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project operations.
* Aid in the management of project resources, including materials, equipment, and workforce.
* Conduct site visits to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Assist the Project Manager in preparing project proposals and contracts.
* Facilitate communication among all project stakeholders.
* Contribute to risk assessments and the development of mitigation strategies.
* Promote a collaborative team environment that empowers all members involved in the project.
* Manage Permits and Security Clearance: Oversee the application and approval process for necessary permits and security clearances, particularly in sensitive locations such as airports.
* Arrange Passes: Ensure that all personnel receive the appropriate passes for accessing restricted areas.
* Staff Briefing: Hold regular briefings to keep staff and subcontractors updated on project developments, safety protocols, and their specific responsibilities.
* Maintain Progress on PM System: Utilise project management software to monitor progress, manage tasks, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
* Update Programmes: Consistently refresh project schedules and programmes to mirror the current status and any modifications.
Requirements
* A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage several projects simultaneously and to manage permits, security clearances, and project documentation.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and stakeholders effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
* Ability to detail and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience in the Aviation construction industry, preferably in a project management or field role.
* Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements, especially for work in sensitive areas like airports.
