We are looking for a Senior Test and Assembly Technician to join our Christchurch site!
You will be working under minimal supervision, following process instructions, drawing, test and repair schedules, to assemble, test and repair product and customer returns, to the requirements of the quality management system, and to achieve company and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Assemble components to a final configured product utilizing process and drawing instructions, blueprints, specialized tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
2. Repair and test products utilizing test procedures, drawings, specialized tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools, incorporating ECN as required.
3. Evaluate customer returns to determine repair actions required to satisfy customer requirements and product build standards.
4. Fault find products to sub-assembly level utilizing drawings and basic test equipment, and may fault find to component level utilizing circuit diagrams.
5. Stage inspection of products at required intervals to verify accuracy of work.
6. Provide training and support to others as required.
7. Comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
8. Perform work to current standard routines and QMS.
9. Maintain 6S in work area.
10. Perform routine minor maintenance.
11. Look for Continuous Improvement opportunities.
12. Support problem-solving in small groups.
What You Bring:
1. Qualified to ONC Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) or
2. Time served Engineering Apprenticeship or
3. 2 years relevant experience in electronic/pneumatics engineering and electrical/mechanical assembly techniques with a proven track record of competence to successfully carry out the requirements of the role.
4. A working knowledge of MRP systems and Production Control systems and Advanced Manufacturing Techniques.
5. Computer literate with some working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
