Job Description:
Amplifi Talent are partnering with a rapidly expanding M&E firm based in the Ballygawley area to recruit a Head of Data Centres on a permanent basis. The Head of Data Centres, Europe, will be responsible for overseeing and managing data centre projects across the region, leading a high performing electrical contracting team to deliver cutting-edge solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This senior role requires a deep understanding of data centre operations, project delivery, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy: Implement the strategic vision for data centre projects across Europe. Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
2. Project Management: Oversee the lifecycle of multiple data centre projects, from inception to completion. Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
3. Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Identify business development opportunities to expand the firm's footprint in the data centre sector.
4. Technical Expertise: Provide technical oversight, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and sustainability goals. Maintain awareness of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the data centre industry.
5. Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven track record in leading large-scale data centre projects in Europe. Strong background in M&E electrical engineering within the data centre or mission-critical environment.
2. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
3. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of data centre infrastructure, including cooling, power, and security systems. Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency standards in the industry.
4. Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
