Our clients are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of equipment, ensuring it remains in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Salary: £15-18 per hour • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package • Career Progression: Opportunities for career development within the company • Work Environment: A collaborative and supportive team focused on delivering high-quality service Key Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance & Repairs: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues with equipment General Engineering: Perform general duties, including working at height Servicing: Repair and maintain a variety of machines in the workshop, ensuring proper functionality Problem-Solving: Work independently to troubleshoot and solve technical problems efficiently Documentation: Complete job cards, timesheets, and paperwork promptly and to a high standard Parts Management: Request parts efficiently to ensure timely repairs and service Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers Supervision: Supervise other engineers when required, ensuring a high quality of work and adherence to safety standards Machine Management: Assist with booking machines in and out, and ensure they are ready for transport collections Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during repairs and inspections Team Contribution: Work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the overall success of the company Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in the workshop Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safe working practices Qualifications and Skills: Experience: Previous experience in a mechanical engineering or workshop-based role Technical Skills: Strong mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair machinery Independence: Ability to work independently and solve problems without constant supervision Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers Safety Standards: Knowledge of and commitment to maintaining safety standards in a workshop environment Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently Supervision Skills: Experience supervising or guiding other engineers (desirable) Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and duties How to Apply: If you are ready to take on this rewarding role, we would love to hear from you Submit your CV and cover letter outlining your qualifications, experience, and why you are the ideal candidate for the role.
