This is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to East Renfrewshire Council’s vision to be a modern, ambitious council creating a fairer future with all, working alongside senior leadership and services in the Chief Executive’s Office to modernise and improve the way we work.
You will be the key support person, providing strategic advice and briefing direct to the Chief Executive, preparing for meetings; driving a culture of excellence and customer-focused delivery; leading research and evaluation into key priorities and challenges; attending meetings as the Chief Executive’s representative; and overseeing the performance and strategic planning of the services within the Chief Executive’s Office.
Motivated and enthusiastic, you will have the opportunity to develop effective, trusted relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external, including the Corporate Management Team and elected members. You will have strong political awareness and the ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
As a highly effective communicator and team-player you will help shape and influence decision-making at the most senior levels of the organisation, on the basis of analysis and interpretation of complex information with a focus on driving a one-council approach.
