HR Advisor
Location: full time, office based in Wavertree, Liverpool
Salary: £30 - 34k
As HR Advisor, you will be advising and providing guidance to line managers on HR best practices, legal compliance, and company policy. Working proactively to minimize employee relations casework and outstanding workload. Key Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:
1. Providing advice and guidance to line managers across the full spectrum of employee relations issues, particularly discipline, grievance, absence, and performance.
2. Coaching managers on a day-to-day basis so that they can effectively and confidently manage any people issues both informally and formally, taking into account policy, procedure, and best practices.
3. Acting as a mentor to HR colleagues.
4. Analyzing data and creating visual presentations to share information such as turnover, absence levels, and conflict rates with internal colleagues such as the senior management team.
5. Creating and delivering training to line managers to enable them to further understand how to manage ER issues within the workplace.
6. Assisting with exit interviews upon employee resignations and maintaining the retention database to capture feedback provided by leavers.
7. In conjunction with Gray Healthcare's policy and procedures platform, QCS, ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law and review schedule.
8. Assisting the Head of Marketing with engaging communications around business changes and policy updates.
9. Providing assistance and cover to the HR Assistant.
10. Working with the Head of HR to identify process improvements and system changes to improve data quality and efficiencies.
Skills and Experience Required for the HR Advisor Role:
1. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
2. Strong HR Advisor experience with exposure to ER issues
3. Experience of supporting line managers in handling a range of ER issues both informally and formally
4. Ability to organize and prioritize a caseload within a fast-paced environment.
5. Experience of writing and amending ER policies
6. Experience of using MS Office for processing letters, spreadsheets, or other documentation; experience in using and updating HR systems
7. Commitment to continued personal development, keeping informed of policy and legislation changes
8. Ideally experience in Health & Social Care and knowledge of CQC and Safeguarding
