Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with the Supply Chain to drive material savings programs through supplier PPAP submissions. You will assist suppliers in completing PPAPs for new component submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
As the Supplier Quality & Development Engineer, you will be involved in creating, modifying, and overseeing CMM programs, as well as inspecting machined components to verify results against drawings submitted by suppliers in PPAP. Additionally, you will coordinate multiple PPAP submissions internally and manage return requests efficiently.
Your attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively will be essential in maintaining high standards and achieving our goals.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Ability to program & run Mitutoyo COMOS programs
* Ability to measure through standard machining inspection tools
* Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Desirable:
* Understanding of FMEA
* Understanding of process control plans
* Packaging requirements for machined components
