Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience in an educational setting? We are seeking passionate and motivated Psychology Graduates to join schools across the area as Teaching Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge of psychology while working directly with students to support their academic and emotional development.
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will involve:
1. Supporting students on a one-to-one or small group basis, focusing on their academic progress and well-being.
2. Assisting in the implementation of tailored learning strategies for students with a range of learning abilities and needs.
3. Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters both academic and personal growth.
4. Supporting students with emotional and social challenges, including implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting self-regulation techniques.
5. Observing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to teachers and senior staff.
6. Assisting teachers with preparing lesson materials and providing support during class activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A degree in Psychology (or a related field).
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
3. A genuine interest in education, mental health, and supporting young people’s development.
4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to work under pressure.
5. Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential).
This is a full-time role with a daily rate of £85-£100, depending on experience. The position offers an excellent opportunity to build your career in education, particularly if you are considering further studies or work in educational psychology, special education, or counselling.
