Clear Hills Youth Treatment Center (CHYTC) is located 17 kilometres from the hamlet of Hythe, Alberta, and operates under the mandate to deliver Youth Addictions Programming and Services. CHYTC is currently seeking a self-motivated, highly experienced individual to fulfil the role of Counsellor Facilitator.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Counsellor/Facilitator (CF), reporting to the Program Manager, is responsible for implementing programs and services at the Clear Hills Youth Treatment Center (CHYTC). The CF advocates for and supports Warriors through both individual and group sessions, following program strategies. Acting as a role model, the CF helps Warriors achieve treatment goals and drives program success from planning to execution, ensuring results align with strategic objectives. The CF contributes to CHYTC’s success by effectively carrying out tasks within established policies and procedures.
REQUIRED EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS:
* Provides direct support to Warriors in individual and group activities.
* Organizes, leads, and promotes programming including activities such as crafts, art, sports, and games, and encourages participation.
* Administers and ensures program delivery and services are monitored and managed following applicable program delivery standards and regulations.
* Develops and executes program plans and services, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
* Monitors and tracks program progress, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively implements mitigation strategies.
* Provides program status updates and reports to the Program Manager, highlighting achievements, challenges, and action plans.
* Implements program management best practices, methodologies, and tools to drive program success and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have some University training, including counselling.
* 3 or more years of related experience.
* Open availability to work 12-hour shifts (4 on 4 off).
* Clear Criminal Records Check and Clear Child Welfare Involvement Check.
* First Aid Certification.
* Must be knowledgeable and participate in Emergency Response Procedures and Risk Management.
* Travel as required and/or requested.
* Interacts extensively with employees, various management levels, and the public.
* Ability to lift 25 pounds.
