Description | Salary £24,404-£25,183 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | County Hall, Preston | International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship Purpose To undertake a range of facilities and accommodation support tasks, operatives will travel across a portfolio of properties completing a range of compliance inspections and defined tasks. Scope of Work Operating in a range of working environments, role holders will undertake a variety of standardised procedures and use associated tools and equipment. Personal initiative will be required within the confines of the role. Accountabilities/Responsibilities • Undertake and record regular compliance checks and inspections, e.g. legionella flushing, fire alarm testing, play equipment inspections. • Undertake some general repair, cleaning and grounds work as required including the provision of winter gritting services countywide, using hand tools, power tools or fuel powered equipment. • Plan and organise own workload and assist with the coordination of the work of contractors and other teams in support of facilities maintenance, office set-ups and clear-outs, and furniture removal and collections across the county. • Monitor and contribute to recording of data in relation to a range of facilities initiatives, including recycling, compliance, etc. • Positively support members of the public and LCC occupying staff across sites to provide assistance and to respond to emergency support if required. • Monitor contractor works across all sites. • Complete any tasks deemed necessary in line with the grade profile. Skills, Knowledge and Experience • Previous relevant experience or the ability to demonstrate the competence/ capacity to carry out the job. Possession of, or the ability to demonstrate the capability to gain relevant qualifications, licences or equivalent where applicable.
