Warrington Council is seeking a dedicated and qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Family Help Team. This exciting opportunity places you at the forefront of children's social care reforms as we serve as a Pathfinder for the Families First for Children DfE-funded programme.
Our Family Help Team supports children on Child in Need and Child Protection plans, working closely with families to create positive, lasting change. Based in the heart of Warrington at 1 Time Square, this role offers a blend of office-based work (minimum two days per week) and flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of children and families, developing and delivering Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
Undertake assessments and interventions that are timely, proportionate, and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
Work collaboratively with families, multi-agency partners, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Maintain accurate and detailed case records in line with statutory requirements.
Participate in reflective supervision and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Proven experience working with Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
