The primary duty of the OH Technician will be completing health surveillance screening and working collaboratively with the Barry on-site Occupational Health team to ensure workers are fit to complete their duties and any concerns are escalated and addressed appropriately. Health surveillance duties typically include but not limited to: Interpret Questionnaires Measure BP, pulse, heigh, weight, BMI Urinalysis Audiometric screening Lung function testing to include peak flow and spirometry Hand and Arm vibration Syndrome to level 1 and 2 Vision screening Skin assessment Chester step test Venepuncture ECG Ensure all medical information is accurately recorded in the occupational health records and that confidentiality of information is maintained. Provide support to the whole occupational health team in helping the department to run smoothly and effectively and deliver the health assessment program. Ensure equipment is serviceable, clean and fit for purpose. Undertake and support additional tasks as requested, such as immunization programs and health promotion activities. Requirements : A qualified OH Technician/Nurse would be preferred but not essential, applications from personnel with similar experience will be considered. Effective communicator with strong listening and empathetic skills as well as the ability to influence and engage with others. Good Organisational and time management skills Ability to act independently and competently. Being able to prioritize Working effectively in a team to deliver common goals.
