About the role
Location: Community based on the Isle of Man, working across the island community with some elements of home working.
Contract: Fixed term contract for 1 year, with possibility of extension.
The Dementia Support Service provides a highly responsive and individualised information, signposting and referral service to people affected by dementia and their carers. We run a number of Activity groups, including our successful Singing for the Brain, and Love to Move Sessions.
The role will require you to:
1. Facilitate and deliver our range of groups across the area.
2. Support and role manage a group of trained volunteers that help us to deliver the groups.
3. Contribute in the delivery of sessions of our Carers Information & Support Programme.
4. Build relationships with a range of local contacts, networking with health and care professionals, promoting the Dementia Support Service.
