The Branding & Graphics Designer will be responsible for setting the visual direction of the Employer Brand that is used to attract and retain the best talent at and for Next. You’ll be part of a wider team that delivers multiple campaigns that will be instrumental in maintaining the strong employer brand identity while still ensuring it is true to the overall Next branding. About the Role This is a new role that delivers multiple forms of content to multiple the Employer Brand and HR teams. The Branding & Graphics Designer will be responsible for creating content for internal communications, external attraction campaigns and branding that forms part of the wider Employer Brand. The role will allow you to set the direction and have your say on how to evolve the Employer Brand and the campaign messages through your work. The content produced will be seen by thousands of people internally and hundreds of thousands externally. This role will report into the Employer Brand and Social Media Manager. The role will require the candidate to work with other key stakeholders in HR, Communication teams and at Director level. The main responsibilities will be: Creating branding for multiple different departments, people networks and campaigns that form part of the employer brand. Supporting and in most cases lead the direction of the branding within the team. Creating content for the HR and Talent teams, social media team (lifeatnext), and communications and events team with their branding and content requirements. Working closely with other graphic departments across next to ensure that brand consistency and collaboration is maintained. Coming up and presenting with new ideas for content that will help communicate the employer brand messages and campaign effectively. Creating effective digital and traditional communication resources to engage, support and inform the retail and head office teams of key messages, policies, procedures and objectives – plus ensure it fits with the Next tone of voice and the Employer Brand. What are we looking for? Essential Excellent knowledge and skills with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. To interpret design briefs, creating original concepts for content to be used across multiple media platforms. To manage the creative input of the team producing original concepts that will engage with the people of Next and those looking to join the brand. Have a Degree in the field of graphic design or equivalent and a strong portfolio. Have a natural flair for design and creativity, an eye for excellent photography and a good understanding of typography. Ensuring the effective coordination and planning of the development process from design through to print/digital. Ability to create digital assets for all different forms of media that will be seen both internally and externally. Strong people skills at all levels. No trouble in expressing your ideas and loves creative exploration. A great work ethic, namely; a motivated team player and proactive both when working in a team and independent. Ability to work in a fast paced environment will also be critical to your success. Desirable Proven experience working within a graphics or branding team. A good understanding and knowledge of Employer Branding and how it operates. Motion graphic skills
