Pump Service Engineer (002jc) – Henley-on-Thames – Up to £40k + Benefits
My client, one of the UK’s leading structural waterproofing and damp proofing contractors, is seeking to recruit a Pump Service Engineer to become a key member of the team.
They work across London and the South East but are now extending their range as people become more aware of client change issues and the effect it has on their properties and homes. The work they carry out is on challenging and prestigious projects from historic buildings to large scale commercial new builds.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our clean water electrical pumping systems across the South East and London, which currently number about 1000 units and are growing.
This role requires you to work independently, have a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. They welcome applications from individuals eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment with in-house and industry training.
They are looking for individuals who live within a reasonable commute of their main office in Henley-on-Thames.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps and related equipment.
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical issues related to pumping systems.
3. Carry out regular service inspections on existing installations to maintain optimum performance.
4. Replace or repair any defective pump components.
5. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and client interactions via the Company App.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing duties on-site.
7. Build strong relationships with clients to encourage trust and satisfaction.
To be eligible for this role you will need the following:
1. Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or a similar technical role.
2. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think under pressure.
3. Organised and methodical around record-keeping.
4. Good communicator and committed to great customer service.
5. Absolutely reliable, keen to learn, and hard-working.
6. Prepared and motivated to work independently.
7. English required - both spoken and written.
8. Full clean driving licence essential.
The ideal candidate would have good knowledge of pump systems, but anyone with a strong mechanical engineering background will also be considered for this role, as they are very pro-military.
In return, they are offering a salary of up to £40k with a company vehicle, hence the need for a driving licence as you will be travelling to client sites, along with a company pension, employee mentoring programme, profit sharing, sick pay, overtime, and weekend availability.
