The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Senior Events Manager to join our talented Catering and Conference Services team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Event planning, rooming list co-ordination and BEO details once signed contract has been turned over as ‘Definite’ by the Sales Team.
* Ensuring high revenue / VIP bookings are handled seamlessly and with extra care and attention to detail.
* Conducting weekly Group Resume meeting and ensure the effective handover of all Group logistics to the Operations teams.
* Supporting planners with their own bookings during challenging periods.
* Assisting with event enquiries as required, primarily focusing on corporate, and supporting social, weddings and short-lead enquiries when required.
* Driving and championing projects relating to developing the events and catering business.
* Achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly Catering and Groups revenue goals.
ABOUT YOU
* Previous experience within events management in a hotel environment at a manager level.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong administrative and organisation skills.
* Great attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and multi-task a number of different activities.
* Previous use of Opera and Salesforce systems.
