Background


Looking for a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor from either a Construction or M&E background to join a growing business based in Tyne & Wear.


This role is for a Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor who will be taking on a host of responsibilities for this company who specialise in Data Centres. From basic surveying duties, to project management and being the main POC for main/sub contractors.


This role includes measurement, procurement, analysis, negotiation, and overseeing projects to ensure they meet commercial objectives and timelines. Additionally, you will play a vital role in promoting and mentoring a culture of contractual and commercial awareness within project teams.


Responsibilities:


1. General Duties: Oversee assigned projects, ensure compliance with company processes, and manage contract information accurately and punctually. Liaising with sub and main contractors, preparing for project take-off.
2. Mentoring: Foster commercial behaviours, manage the Quantity Surveying function, and provide commercial support and training to team members from various disciplines.
3. Project Delivery: Balance time, cost, and quality; assist colleagues; and promote contractual awareness.
