An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North Sector Management team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with appropriate experience, excellent management skills and a proven track record of leading a multi-disciplinary team to join us.
This is a full-time position within core hours Monday to Friday plus participation in the Senior Manager On-Call Rota.
The Emergency Care Clinical Services manager post is a varied and rewarding role. You will report to the General Manager for ECMS in North Sector and have responsibility for the day to day management of the service, ensuring there is a clear focus on the delivery of a range of high quality, safe and efficient patient centred services to meet local and national targets and a culture of person-centred care. With strong influencing and leadership qualities you will be able to demonstrate significant operational experience at a senior level in a healthcare or equivalent complex organisation and will have the ability to inspire confidence and respect from the team to lead and deliver the service in what can be a demanding and challenging environment. You will have the ability to maintain a calm and professional approach whilst managing numerous competing and conflicting priorities.
You will be working in partnership with a variety of different clinical and non-clinical groups including staff side colleagues and will require to have an understanding of professional roles and perspectives.
Key to the success of this role will be your ability to contribute to the development of a strong, patient-focused culture which encourages initiative, individual and team responsibility and open communication all underpinned by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde values and a culture of person-centred care. You will be accountable for the achievement of performance objectives within quality standards (e.g. ensuring that performance targets are achieved such as agreed waiting time targets) and contribute to the corporate management of Acute Services through the North Sector Management Team.
