ABOUT THE ROLE Hi, Im Jack Im a bright, resilient, and affectionate young man who lives at home with my mum, Catherine. I go to Chads Grove School full-time, where I have 1:1 support from the Orchard Service. I thrive in a structured and caring environment where my health needs are well managed, and Im supported by kind, attentive, and consistent PAs who truly understand me. I have complex health needs, including hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, cerebral palsy, gastro-oesophageal reflux, epilepsy, learning difficulties, and bilateral hip dislocation. These affect my mobility, communication, and daily care. Im fed through a gastrostomy tube because eating by mouth isnt safe for me, and I need full support with all aspects of daily life. I dont use words to communicate, but I still have my own way of expressing myself I rely on my PAs to understand my needs, anticipate how Im feeling, and support me with patience andcompassion. With the right team around me, I feel safe, happy, and understood. ABOUT YOU I am looking for someone who understands my medical problems and can also provide an emotional support. The ideal candidate will ideally live locally to me, be flexible, patient, have a good sense of humour and a genuine caring nature. You will need to be enthusiastic and inspiring to bring a sense of energy into my life. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my home. Experience is advantageous but not compulsory as all training will be provided.
