Salary - £80,000 – 85,000 Our client is a leading UK charity, dedicated to providing essential support, information, and treatment to individuals affected by a serious health condition. It also funds critical research towards finding a cure and aims to ensure that no one faces this challenge alone. The organisation brings together those affected, healthcare professionals, researchers, and anyone committed to making a difference in the lives of those affected. With the launch of a refreshed strategy, the charity has set an ambitious goal to double its income over the next five years. This growth will significantly expand its reach and impact, helping to improve the lives of those affected, ensuring they can live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. To support this vision and due to an impending retirement, the organisation is seeking to recruit a Director of Finance. This vital role will be accountable for the charity's financial management, including financial control and reporting, and will play a key part in shaping the organisation’s future direction. The Director will work closely with colleagues at the forefront of research, advocacy, and support services. As a senior member of the Executive Leadership team, the Director will collaborate on the development of strategies, goals, priorities, and outcomes, reporting regularly to the Board on progress. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong, solution-focused leadership experience. They will have a proven track record in supporting the strategic growth of an organisation, either within the voluntary or private sector. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess excellent commercial and business acumen, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and make well-informed decisions that support the organisation’s strategic objectives. For more information or a confidential discussion, interested candidates are encouraged to contact Douglas Adam at the retained advisors via email at douglasadamlivingstonjames.com. The organisation is an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
