The ideal candidate will design, program, and maintain PLC systems to optimize automated packaging processes. Key Responsibilities: Design, program, test, and commission PLC systems for automated packaging machinery. Develop control strategies and logic for new and existing systems. Conduct system upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reliability. Create and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, user manuals, and program descriptions. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming, preferably in the packaging industry. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Siemens, Allen Bradley, or other leading PLC platforms. Knowledge: Strong understanding of HMI/SCADA systems and industrial automation processes. Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software. Communication: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with packaging machinery such as conveyors, fillers, or palletizers. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g.Ethernet/IP). Knowledge of safety systems (e.g., safety PLCs, e-stops). Valid UK driving license.
