Safeguarding Services:
Social Workers in the Locality Safeguarding Area are responsible for implementing complex child in need planning, child protection plans, and public court proceedings. The focus of the work is supporting families to care for their children safely.
As Social Workers, you will work closely with Specialist Family Support Services and a multi-disciplinary team working with families who are affected by substance use, mental health difficulties, and domestic violence – this supporting you to have more time to undertake direct work with children & young people!
Through Care:
The Through Care Service supports children and young people who have permanent plans to remain looked after; we also support all the UASC young children within the service. Your work will be supporting young people to ensure that they have the correct care plan, and this is progressed in a timely way. Our Through Care Service is aligned to our Family Time Service and our Health & Wellbeing Service – ensuring timely access to wellbeing support for our looked after children and carers.
