Responsibilities Innovate to articulate and solve complex problems Design and develop high-quality software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models Apply and promote good software engineering practices such as test automation, modularization, simplification Work effectively with members of other software development teams in an agile, interactive, and creative environment Find, analyse, and fix bugs and performance problems whenever and wherever they occur Requirements 5 years of commercial software development experience Fluent in and passionate about modern C++ (11/14/17/20) or Rust Track record of implementing high performance, parallel algorithms Experience with scientific or GPU computation Effective time management and organisational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related STEM field Recommended Qualifications Familiarity with GIS applications and technologies Cross-platform development, profiling, and debugging Understanding of scientific, spatial and graphics algorithms and software design patterns Experience with CUDA, Direct3D, Metal, OpenGL, Vulkan, WebGL, or WebGPU, and compute shader programming Experience with agile development methodologies (such as Scrum) Master' degree in Computer Science or related STEM field Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
