Role: Deputy Care Home Manager Salary: £43,661 per annum Location: Pembroke Dock, Wales Hours: 37.5 per week, including 18 hours as a nurse on shift We are looking for a Deputy Care Home Manager for a Care Home in Pembroke Dock to deliver high-quality care and support to service users in line with the principles of wellness, happiness, and kindness. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the physical, social, psychological, and emotional needs of service users are met. The home is a 24-bedded residential care home providing care for individuals with mental health conditions. Employees play a key role in decision-making, with a focus on putting people first. Main Responsibilities Strong working knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008. Developing and implementing evidence-based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programmes. Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to ensure high standards of person-centred care, using clinical governance and personal development. Experience in sickness management, staff training and development, coaching, and mentoring. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with service users, their families, and colleagues. Understanding the disabilities, health, and social care needs of service users and supporting those with mobility or continence needs using appropriate aids and equipment. Providing personal care and support, ensuring hygiene needs are met (washing, dressing, bathing, toileting). Awareness of health and safety to maintain a safe environment for service users and colleagues.
