We are currently looking for a People Consultant to join the Royal London People Leader Advisory team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Alderley Edge.
This is an exciting role where you will support People Leaders from across the organisation on people related matters such as people management, policy advice, performance, development, talent and succession planning, ER advice and more.
You will contribute to the overall Leader Advisory Service (Tier 2) to enable People Leaders to fulfil their responsibilities through coaching, guidance, and advice on the full range of generalist people activity.
About the role
1. Support the development, implementation/operationalisation and governance of people policies, assessing their effectiveness and identifying issues through the proactive management of people issues.
2. Provide a specialist advisory function for people leaders on all aspects of case management at all levels of the organisation.
3. Using ER expertise, provide advice, guidance, coaching and upskilling for all those involved to build capability and manage cases effectively.
4. Provide a point of escalation for the People Leader Advisors and People Services Coordinators on:
5. Performance and Reward queries (pay, benefits, benchmarking, recognition, annual pay and performance cycles) liaising with the People Partner and / or Centre of Excellence where appropriate.
6. Talent and Capability queries (Career Management, Talent and Succession, Learning and Development, D&I, Well-Being and Engagement) liaising with the People Partner and / or Centre of Excellence where appropriate.
7. Champion of the People Team operating model
About you
8. Sound technical skills in relation to employment legislation and People policies.
9. Ability to evidence depth of expertise and technical skills in ER case management.
10. Effective consultancy skills and ability to provide advice, guidance, support, and challenge across a broad range of generalist areas in order to arrive at outcomes that are sound, fair and commercially considered.
11. Keen eye for identifying a broad range of risks.
12. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
