Position Summary
Cansel is the largest Trimble re-seller in Canada. As one of Cansel’s Municipal, Utility & Police Services Account Manager (insides sales), you will need hutzpah and drive to sell this equipment. We are looking for someone who has experience as a surveyor or other Engineering/Surveying experience and sales training will be provided.
In this role, you will...
1. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads through proactive outreach via phone, email, and social media channels. Utilize Salesforce and other tools and resources to research and understand prospective clients' technical challenges and needs.
2. Consultative Selling: Engage with clients to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and objectives. We will train so you can leverage your technical expertise to recommend suitable products, services, and solutions that align with clients' needs and provide value-added benefits.
3. Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding (training to be provided) of our product portfolio, technical specifications, and industry trends. Stay updated on advancements in technology and market developments to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and competitive advantages to clients.
4. Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process and beyond.
5. Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipelines efficiently, from lead generation to closure. Keep accurate records of interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in the CRM system. Track progress, forecast sales, and report on key performance metrics.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the whole team, including outside sales, engineers, and product specialists, to develop customized solutions and proposals for clients. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of objectives.
About you...
• Degree in a relevant field such as, Computer Science, Business Administration or Engineering
• Proven experience in technical sales or a related field, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts, preferably in areas such as software, hardware, IT infrastructure, or engineering.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer relationship management.
• Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field (Construction/Survey/Civil Engineering and geomatics) or equivalent, or a combination of experience and training
• Some experience in a sales role, preferably in the AEC Industries.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRMs.
• Bilingual French / English is an advantage.
