We are currently inviting applications for the following role: Manager – Payroll Services The role Supported by a payroll professional and reporting into the Assistant Director – Commercial Services, the Manager – Payroll Services takes responsibility for the full payroll function, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency. The role is varied, from fortnightly processing through to high level payroll problem solving, calculations, reporting and innovation. The successful candidate will quickly establish themselves as the campus wide payroll subject matter expert. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Ensuring payroll is processed in accordance with relevant Agreements, Awards, Fair Work, school policies and procedures and legislative requirements. Providing an exceptional level of service to all stakeholders and building strong relationships across the school. Keeping abreast of relevant legislative changes in relation to payroll and ensure the school’s compliance. Analysing existing processes and identifying potential risks and systems improvement. Proactively making recommendations and implementing improvement to payroll processes. About You You will be an experienced payroll professional who enjoys processing a complex and dynamic payroll in a small team environment. You will appreciate the need to actively assist in the fortnightly processing as required while being driven to ensuring a continuous improvement and streamlining of processes. You will bring: Experience in a similar role in a dynamic environment with demonstrated experience and knowledge with accurately processing payroll in accordance with relevant legislation (payroll, tax, superannuation, Enterprise Agreement, Award and contract interpretation). Strong capability to analyse systems and procedures and implement relevant improvements in a timely manner. A proactive approach to problem solving coupled with exceptional payroll knowledge. The ability to build strong relationships with others, building a high level of trust and engagement through the quality of your work and people skills Be experienced using Access Micropay and ConnX or willing to quickly learn these systems.
