About the Role: The Junior Legal Counsel at Ferrero plays a crucial role in supporting the UK & Ireland Legal Team in ensuring regulatory compliance for the UK & Ireland region. Their responsibilities encompass assisting with various aspects of regulatory compliance within the designated region. Main Responsibilities: As a Junior Legal Counsel at Ferrero, you will be reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel. Your responsibilities will include providing general legal support and assistance to the UK & Ireland business. This will involve advising on marketing and advertising matters, drafting and reviewing supplier terms and general contracts, advising on intellectual property matters such as searches and registrations for trademarks and protection of the Ferrero owned IP, producing and delivering training and supporting the Senior Legal Counsel on food law and food regulatory matters. You will be responsible for supporting a Ferrero brand team with all marketing matters, which includes the review of marketing campaigns, consumer marketing materials, including social media posts, blogs, advertorials, television and online campaigns and promotions - to ensure compliance. You will monitor and communicate any relevant legal and regulatory issues to the team and the wider business when necessary. You will support the Senior Legal Counsel responsible for preparing labelling legal specifications (or F8s), this includes drafting and finalising F8s, verifying translations into local languages and back-translation, checking proposed marketing copy and approving chocolate descriptors. You will also approve pre-artwork and artwork handover documents, ensuring the proper execution of the F8s on all artworks. You will also provide support to the Regional Counsel on all corporate governance matters, this includes drafting notices, proxies, board minutes and resolutions in advance of any board meetings and ensuring all company filings are up to date, as well as maintaining the Ferrero corporate database. Maintaining department data will be crucial, including filing and organising F8 files and chocolate descriptors on Share Point. General filing and administration tasks will also be part of your responsibilities. Who we are looking for: The ideal candidate should be a qualified lawyer in England and Wales. You will have knowledge of intellectual property and experience in food labelling, particularly in the confectionery or similar sectors, is advantageous. Familiarity with marketing and advertising law is necessary, and fluency in English is essential. Attention to detail is a highly valued trait for this role.
