This full-time role offers stability, career progression, and the opportunity to enhance your skills in SEND support. Key Responsibilities
* Maintain attentiveness and stay alert to the individual needs and well-being of students
* Support and assist children with special educational needs in the classroom and throughout daily routines
* Engage in classroom activities, including observations, record-keeping, and contributing to lesson planning
* Provide one-on-one or small group support as required
* Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
* Occasionally assist with opening and closing duties
Required Experience
* 1-2 years' experience working with children with SEND
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
* DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Knowledge of special educational needs and relevant support strategies
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the confidence to report concerns
* A passion for supporting children with SEND, helping them thrive in a nurturing, inclusive environment
