Our Client Our client is a leading environmental management business based in Warminster. This company is in a strong financial position and is looking to take its growth to the next level. It is keen to recruit an insightful and hands-on Financial Controller to help create a solid foundation for the business's future growth. Financial Controller - The Role You will be at the centre of improving the company's financial processes and strategies. Your eagle eye, expertise and experience will be needed to get into the nitty gritty. You'll also be a clear communicator, able to present financial data with confidence and gravitas. Key responsibilities include: Support and develop the finance team; Develop and review the financial reporting systems; Produce the monthly management accounts pack with variance analysis; Produce and monitor forecasts and budgets; Monitor cash and prepare cash flow forecasts; Oversee AR and AP; Take responsibility for balance sheet reporting; Complete monthly control account reconciliations; Prepare VAT returns; Oversee payroll; Prepare annual financial information to support the year-end accounts; Ensure statutory financial compliance requirements are met; Ad hoc finance projects. The Successful Applicant As Financial Controller, you will be a qualified accountant who has previously performed at a similar level in an SME. Ideally, you will demonstrate: Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA); Environmental/sustainability experience is desirable; Experience within a hands-on financial management role; Strong Microsoft Office skills; Knowledge of Sage 50 is desirable; Strong communication skills.
