About the Role As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-prepared lessons to maintain the continuity of learning during teacher absences. Effectively manage classroom behavior, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. Provide constructive feedback to class teachers regarding lesson outcomes and pupil engagement. Support pupils’ learning by fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued. Collaborate with school staff to uphold high educational standards and contribute to the school’s ethos. About You The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a classroom setting. Possess a solid understanding of the primary curriculum. Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a calm, confident presence. Be flexible and resilient, capable of working across various year groups and situations. Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or have equivalent experience. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with knowledge of relevant protocols. Desirable Attributes: Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor. Relevant teaching or education-related qualifications. Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs.
