The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering Function within Operations at Thompson Aero Seating. This will include driving short-term initiatives to deliver against immediate business needs, as well as securing full enablement for pre-production readiness. In addition to fulfilling the short-term requirements the individual will be responsible for establishing the long-term ME organisation/processes to secure NPI/ Industrialisation at FAI via implementation of robust Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Quality systems and processes. Responsibilities Responsibility for the overall ME functional performance to budget and performance KPIs Leadership and development of ME team to become high performing function Ownership of all ME processes across all Thompson Aero Seating (TAS) business units Responsibility for Manufacturing Bill of Materials and all Manufacturing Standard Work Responsibility for all industrialisation activities across the TAS business units Monitor and reduce manufacturing material costs and create KPIs to drive efficiencies To help the product introduction teams to identify risks and develop mitigation plans for current product introduction programs to avoid failures in qualification and service and to ensure that the equipment is rate capable and achieving the target cost. Ability to communicate at all levels Programme & change management ability Able to operate successfully at senior management level.
