The Role: Our client is seeking a fast-paced, self-motivated individual with an academic background to join their dynamic editorial team responsible for the publication of their research journal. In this role, you will be responsible for the critical assessment of new manuscript submissions to the journal, ensuring only those that meet agreed quality standards and guidelines progress to full peer-review. Using your subject expertise and critical-thinking skills, you will play a key part in the decision-making process for the initial stages of manuscript handling and provide timely, well-reasoned responses to any challenges presented by authors. The journal aims to publish internationally leading research across the full breadth of their subject matter. To be shortlisted for this post, you must: - Have a deep understanding of STM journal processes, gained from a demonstrable track record of publishing in relevant Clarivate-indexed journals. - Have a current understanding of the latest research developments in the building/construction field. - Be educated to PhD level. Experience using manuscript-processing systems would be advantageous.
