We are growing rapidly and looking for an IoT Solutions & Deployment Engineer who will work on the installations of KCP Smart System Products & AV Solutions for our valued customers. We are looking for someone who is confident in dealing with customers and suppliers and has hands-on installations field-based experience across Audio Visual and Smart tech products. Previous hospitality sector experience is an added bonus!
As an IoT Solutions & Deployment Engineer at KCP, you will be a key member of the team responsible for the installations of our bespoke products/solutions, working with engineers and managers on-site, communicating with customers, conducting research, and reporting on project status.
Responsibilities
* Be part of the installation team who will install and maintain our own smart systems and automation solutions for our clients.
* Install our bespoke new systems and technology.
* Install Audio Visual and Communication devices.
* Collaborate with Project Managers to develop project scopes, objectives, and timelines.
* Assist in detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Install, test, and commission our bespoke smart system products/solutions and resolve onsite malfunctions.
* Provide technical support to customers and ensure timely resolution of issues.
* All other administrative tasks related to dealing with suppliers and customers as needed, ensuring all hardware and materials are ordered and delivered on time to the site.
Requirements
* Knowledge and experience in installing and commissioning assigned projects for the telecommunication, smart systems, and IoT sectors.
* Understanding of installing and commissioning assigned projects for the Advanced Visual Systems and Television Network.
* Hands-on experience in installing smart systems.
* A thorough understanding of systems integration techniques (Integration via IP protocols, Serial, ZigBee, or IR).
* Understanding of basic IP network HDBaseT Technology.
* Proven experience in working with different project rollouts.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be a key point of contact for troubleshooting issues.
* Understanding of safety guidelines.
* Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and regulations.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites if and when needed.
* Full Clean Valid UK Driving License.
