️ Our VP Marketing is taking an extended break from work and we’re looking for a 12-month FTC or permanent VP Marketing to come in and own our marketing and growth strategy and deliver on our ambitious growth plans in 2025/26. While our existing VP Marketing has plans to return, we're looking to speak with both interim and permanent candidates for the role.
What’s Yonder?
“It's as if Time Out, Amex and Monzo had a baby” - Will T, Yonder Member
We’re building the financial membership of the future. Starting with a credit card that has fun and experiences at its core, we’re the antithesis to your dad’s stuffy, corporate, boring credit card.
Whilst tech is revolutionising the finance industry, credit is still stuck in the stone ages. We want to create a world where financial services are fair and conscious, and the stress of debt is eliminated for everyone.
We've raised an additional £23.4M in September 2024 to grow our team, launch even better rewards and fast-track our expansion outside the UK.
Sounds great. What's my part?
Over the last year we've added a free membership tier, hundreds of new independent partners around the country, countless product improvements and our personal favourite, Yonder Flights, a new way to use Yonder points on any flight with any airline globally. We've maintained a 4.6 TrustPilot rating and are the number one ranked credit card with Smart Money People. Our customers really love us (and we love them back... hi!).
Over the last four years, we’ve grown from just an idea to a beautiful, fully regulated credit product that our members absolutely love - especially the support we provide them.
What you'll do
Drive our marketing vision and growth: You’ll be directly responsible for the direct ROI on marketing spend, thinking about payback, CAC, forecasting and day-to-day accountability. You'll define and execute our marketing strategy, translating business objectives into measurable revenue growth. Working with Product and Risk teams, you'll identify and unlock sustainable growth opportunities while maintaining our risk appetite. When things aren’t going like we expect, you’ll diagnose what’s working/what’s not, which channels to double down on, and which new channels to explore.
Balance ambition with brand: You'll be the guardian of our brand while pushing for growth. You'll know when to push boundaries and when to protect our brand ‘secret sauce’.
Create breakthrough campaigns: You'll architect marketing initiatives that cut through the noise, from concept to execution, ensuring every campaign delivers measurable impact.
Inspire and develop a world-class team: You'll develop our talented marketing team while orchestrating our full marketing spectrum - from content and PR to affiliates and performance marketing. You'll know which levers to pull and when to drive growth.
Lead with strategic influence: You'll work closely with Finance on budget allocation, build strong relationships across the business, and manage key agency partnerships. You'll communicate complex strategies clearly to leadership while ensuring all partners deliver exceptional value.
We're looking for someone with experience that
Has scaled consumer startups beyond £25M+ revenue: You've been there and done it. You understand the unique challenges of managing rapid growth while maintaining quality and compliance. You know how to build the frameworks, processes and team structures that enable sustainable scaling.
Is a strategic marketing leader with deep channel expertise: You have an expert understanding of content, PR, affiliates, and performance marketing. You can dive deep into any channel while maintaining a bird's eye view of how they work together. You know when to optimise existing channels and when to experiment with new ones.
Excels at budget management and revenue accountability: You're comfortable managing significant marketing budgets and working with Finance and C-suite on allocation. You understand unit economics deeply and can make strategic investment decisions that balance growth with profitability.
Has proven experience building and leading high-performing teams: You're an exceptional people leader who knows how to hire, develop and retain top marketing talent. You can spot potential, coach for growth, and create an environment where your team can do their best work.
Masters the balance of brand and performance: You understand that sustainable growth requires both brand building and performance marketing. You know how to maintain brand integrity while driving aggressive growth targets, and can articulate the value of both to stakeholders.
Is deeply analytical and data-driven: You base decisions on data, not hunches. You're comfortable with complex analytics, attribution modelling, and experimentation. You know how to translate data into actionable insights and compelling stories for different audiences.
You'll love it here if you
Thrive on autonomy and intensity: You'll be given significant responsibility in a fast-moving startup environment. You're energised by ambitious goals and ready to put in the work.
Love getting stuck in: You're a strategic leader who's not afraid to get into the weeds. You'll be hands-on with campaigns and platforms while building out our growth function.
Are impact-driven: You want to transform an industry for the better through intuitive products that customers love. You're motivated by creating positive change at scale.
Excel alongside exceptional talent: You'll work with brilliant people who'll push you to achieve more than you thought possible. You're energised by high standards and ambitious goals.

Stage 1: Hiring manager call (1 hour)
We'll have an initial call to find out a bit more about one another with our VP Marketing.
Stage 2: Take away task
We’ll give you a short task, where you’ll have your chance to shine and show us what you can do. This will be limited to just a couple hours work.
Stage 3A: Onsite Marketing interview (1 hour)
We’ll dive into your experience in marketing and understand how you’ve approached your work in previous roles, and how you might approach things at Yonder. This will be with our CEO & Co-Founder and VP Marketing.
Stage 3B: Onsite Values interview (1 hour)
We'll discuss both of our working styles and values, to see if we’re aligned. This will be with two of our team members.
Other things to know:
* We love closing the feedback loop at Yonder. You can expect specific feedback on our decision from Stage 2 onwards, and you can always ask for more.
* We must complete the right to work & criminal background checks for every new Yonder-er for compliance purposes because we handle sensitive customer data.
* We also do reference checks, ideally with your most recent manager on the phone.
* We like to move quickly at Yonder, so we will be ready to onboard you once the above checks are complete - the entire process can take between 2 - 6 weeks.
We know that diverse teams build better products. If you’re from an under-represented community, we’d especially love to hear from you.
Even if you don’t feel 100% qualified, please do apply anyway. Your attitude and desire to grow are just as important as your experience.
