Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Cheshire West Council, Children Duty & Assessment Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Experience of working with children and families in both Child in Need and Child Protection.
2. Expected to cover as duty social worker on a rota basis and have the ability to manage child protection/sec 47 enquiries working alongside partner agencies.
3. Experience in completing Children and Family assessments and managing Child in Need plans.
4. Quality supervision and opportunities for training in-house. Our teams are collaborative and supportive.
5. Currently working with a hybrid arrangement, combination of home working and office base.
6. Parking permit for the locality area and IT equipment to work virtually; office-based on a rota basis.
7. Expected to complete ‘face to face’ work with children and families, within the current COVID-19 guidance and practice.
8. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
9. 3 month Temporary Contract.
10. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
