The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high-performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components, and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The HR Assistant supports and facilitates the Human Resource processes at Site level. This role makes optimum use of human resources in the achievement of business objectives by administering the monthly time & attendance reporting, assisting in developing and implementing programs in the areas of recruiting, employee communication, employee recognition, and employee engagement. The incumbent will be responsible for accurately and securely maintaining up-to-date information within Morgan’s Employee Information Management System (MEIS), Morgan’s Time & Attendance System, and records/files within HR.
Responsibilities:
* Perform payroll data preparation, T & A issues, pay slips checking, queries follow-up, and meet strict deadlines on reporting and processing.
* Accurately maintain all weekly updates in the Morgan’s Employee Information System.
* Responsible for issuing eye care vouchers, as required.
* Support annual salary increase and merit bonus reward cycle.
* Work with Supervisors and Managers to support absence management processes.
* Support HR manager with weekly MI Pack reporting on absences, hires, and turnover.
* Maintain accurate up-to-date records, support audits of sensitive information, and assist with accurate and timely completion of employee requests.
* Assist with coordinating interviews for Operative roles, screen applications, and act as candidate liaison.
* Complete employment eligibility documentation, including background checks and assessments.
* Raise offer letters/contracts, support preboarding and onboarding process, including organizing IT and coordinating new hire orientation.
* Support offboarding processes and facilitate exit interview process.
* Assist with coordinating with providers for site occupational health reviews and support wellness initiatives.
* Support periodic data audits of site’s HRIS data to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
* Support HR Manager with internal and 3rd party auditors with HR information as needed.
* Act as a liaison for employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager when at respective sites.
* Assist with special projects: deliver HR initiatives through completion and create reporting to track progress.
* Maintain company organizational charts and directories.
* Participate in site meetings as directed, note-taking where required.
* Support supervisors with first-level disciplinary meetings, as note-taker.
* Support HR Manager with the administration of talent management processes, and assist with coordinating site-based training initiatives.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times and conduct all tasks in a safe manner complying with Morgan policies, UK employment law, ethics and compliance, HR, EHS policies and procedures, and legislation.
* Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
* 2+ years’ experience in Human Resources function.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint. AI proficiency advantageous.
* Experience with HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, applicant tracking systems.
* Knowledge of UK Employment Legislation and compliance requirements.
* Familiar with HR principles and concepts.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Problem-solving skills, and curiosity for continuous improvement.
* Must be able to clearly present ideas and reports in written and verbal format.
